For instance, increased living standards arose from greater consumptions and globalization. This situation is inevitable as it increases the status quo, which in the pa st influenced it. In other words, when living standards are improved, technological advances are also improved hence resources are drained. The consumption of elements and prolification of gases such as carbon (IV) oxide affects the environment (Ejumudo Nwador, 2014). In this manner, a condition whereby improved living standards bring more damages to the environment is created. The unprecedentation of this scale is justified due to the continuous desires for the global economic growth. As individuals are driven by the urge to improve their economic lives, the environmental damages become more severe. In summary, the need for improved living standards triggers many environmental consequences of which some are negative.
